Ask Me a Question!

Phyllis Nairn takes questions regarding Special Education Law and District policies and procedures. Phyllis has personally helped many families gain the services that their children are entitled to by careful recommendations and following guidelines laid out by IDEA laws and the Texas Educational Agency. She is available to give parents advice on what steps to take and what forms to use.*

  1. Hello Phyllis! My name is Rochelle Alleyne and I am a new reporter with News Channel 25. I am doing a follow-up story about Tuesday's School Board meeting and KISD's special education department/program. I've been doing some research about the topic to prepare and realize that you are someone who's been trying to change the program (for the better) for some time now. I am reaching out to you see if you or maybe another parent who has/had a child in KISD's special education program would be able to speak with me today about the program and some of issues they've been having. I also know that the district has outlined some changes for the upcoming school year and I wanted to know your thoughts on that as well. If you're free before 3:30 pm today, I'd love to speak with you.

  2. Hello Ms. Nairn,

A Co worker from my school said I should contact you regarding my son's ARD meeting coming up. If you have a moment to get back to me that would be great. Thank you
