Hello Phyllis! My name is Rochelle Alleyne and I am a new reporter with News Channel 25. I am doing a follow-up story about Tuesday's School Board meeting and KISD's special education department/program. I've been doing some research about the topic to prepare and realize that you are someone who's been trying to change the program (for the better) for some time now. I am reaching out to you see if you or maybe another parent who has/had a child in KISD's special education program would be able to speak with me today about the program and some of issues they've been having. I also know that the district has outlined some changes for the upcoming school year and I wanted to know your thoughts on that as well.
